The very first day that Molly and I met, we talked about our dream dog, an Australian Shepherd. I used to have one when I was growing up and Molly wanted one for how cute and active they were so she would always have a friend to run with. Almost four years later and we finally found our Australian Shepherd!
The whole event came about fairly quickly where we saw the ad through a friend of a friend on Tuesday, made our decision Thursday and picked her up on Thursday! After a drive that seemed to drag on forever, we played with her and her sisters and brought her home to the cottage!
She has the sweetest little face, great manners, still needs to work on sleeping through the night a bit, but one day she’s gonna the best trail dog! I think our plan will be to start her off in a backpack and then have her work up to running with us and then get to chasing our back wheel on some of our favorite trails. As thinks start to progress with her training, we’ll definitely be sharing updates so stay tuned! In the meantime, enjoy these photos of her first few hours with us.
