We’re finally back in SLO! After almost 10 years of being away, and visiting at least once a year every year, we have finally found a place in town to call our own and make our daily routines something we’ve always dreamed of. From riding bikes on the mountain bike trails, to showing Lucy some of our favorite hikes, and don’t even get me started on the food! SLO has always been a wonderful place to live and I still can’t believe we get to call it home.
Being back here has inspired me to find a way to get more involved in the community and try to give back on some of the wonderful experiences that this town has provided for us. It also has brought me back to wanting to design some pieces of art and t-shirts, just as I did back in college. If you didn’t know, back in the college days, I was screen printing t-shirts out of my bedroom in our house here. It was quite a process (definitely a messy one) to work through the night to make the screens in the bedroom/bathroom and then print shirts all day long. I never really got it down, and if I haven’t told them, I’d like to apologize to my roommates for the mess that I caused from this experiment.
This time around, I’m going to be leaving the t-shirt making to the professionals. Available now on my site are a few new shirt and sweatshirts that I designed! With name of obis (pulled from San Luis Obispo) I want to share designs that were inspired by the landscapes and landmarks that I see and love about the area.
I hope you take a look and if there are some specific pieces that are special to you in the area, I’d love to hear them and see how I could create some piece of art for you to enjoy. For now this is just a side hobby that I hope to share to others in SLO.
