This post was actually my second that I shared of the year, but the first was a collage of multiple images from a day of skiing in Mammoth. This was taken on New Years Eve up underneath the Broadway chair.
A lot of the mountain was closed that day due to high winds, but this spot was a little gem that was practically untouched when we got to it. We continued to lap it 3-4 times to make sure we made the most of the snow.
My original angle was a bit further away and I wanted to get a skier in the foreground, but with the aspect of the slope and the lighting it didn’t quite play out how I wanted. After he passed by, I crossed over and focused on just the mountain range of the Minarets themselves.
